About Me

Hi! I am Ashley Hogan. I am a serial entrepreneur and part time instructor at Linn Benton Community College. I love learning and teaching others about business and personal/business financial planning. 

I am teaching Principles of Marketing for the first time. There was a need for another instructor and I had an opening in my schedule. Though I am more confident with numbers and subjects with less "grey" area, I am excited to get my creativity flowing while teaching this course. 

I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Agricultural Business Management and minored in Animal Science. I thought I wanted to be a veterinarian and veterinarians need to know about business so I continued my education receiving my MBA in 2011. I learned a few things from this experience:

1. Going to school without a plan was expensive
2. I couldn't get a job after the market crash that could cover my student loans
3. I didn't want to be a veterinarian anymore

I understand how valuable marketing is to the success of individuals and business owners, but implementation can be intimidating. I am excited about working within this sector of business because its been about 8 years since I've had a linked in profile and I am on the board for a new 501(c)3 (status pending) that will need to be marketed in our local area this year (2024). 

Outside of Linn Benton Community College and my other business, I love to travel and be outdoors. I live on a 12 acre farm with my husband, best friends and son (my parents are moving on to the farm soon too). We have horses, cows (seasonally), dogs and cats with chickens being the next addition.
